The Salolampi Foundation

Salolampi Foundation Index

The Salolampi Foundation was founded in April 1979 just before the second session of Salolampi Finnish Language Village. At this first meeting the Foundation's bylaws were adopted, a Statement of Purpose was created, and Scholarship Fundraising began. Since April 1979 the Board of Directors has continued the fundraising for additional scholarships, a major building campaign to create the permanent village at Concordia Language Village campus in Turtle River Lake, Bemidji, Minnesota, and most recently has set a goal to create an endowment to sustain scholarships into perpetuity.
