Phone•a•thon
ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP APPEAL
The Phone-a-thon, a major annual appeal, is held every November to fund the Salolampi participants scholarships for the coming year. Salolampi Board members and volunteers call throughout the country to addresses that are on the Foundation’s database. The generous support from the Lutheran Community Foundation in Minneapolis provides fifteen telephones available for three evenings in November. A portion of the Foundation’s endowment is invested with the Lutheran Community Foundation.
Donors with an affiliation with Thrivent Financial for Lutherans or work for an employer who will match or supplement a contribution can increase their total by completing appropriate forms. Those with a Thrivent Financial connection will receive the necessary form in a Salolampi Foundation mailing. Other matches are completed using the forms provided by the employer.
