The Salolampi Foundation is concerned about individual’s personal information and data. The Foundation has created this policy to show it is committed to protecting one’s privacy. The following outlines our information gathering and dissemination practices of The Salolampi Foundation.
Information You Provide to us
The Foundation does not keep any personal information about your visit to our Internet site unless you have specifically supplied it to us. For instance, you may have supplied us, or our online donation partner PayPal, with information as part of a donation. Similarly, you may have sent us an email or left us a message in some other electronic format. In cases where you have supplied us with information, including financial data, we will treat such information private. This means that it will be treated in the same way as written forms of communication. To the extent allowed by law, the Salolampi Foundation will make reasonable attempts to protect personal financial information from disclosure.
The Foundation does collect and keep some information only by you giving us that information, such as name, address, & phone number. When you give us a donation, you agree that we can send you our newsletters and contact you during the phone-a-thon, unless you request otherwise. We only keep this information so we may send you important information about Salolampi Finnish Language Village and Foundation Activities; our semi-annual newsletters; and contact you during our annual phone-a-thon. Should you not want to receive our newsletters or a telephone call during the phone-a-thon we need you to send a written communication, email or post card, to the foundation asking to be removed from our contact list.
Information We Share
The Salolampi Foundation does not sell your personal data at all. We do reserve the right to share your information with Concordia Language Villages; Foundation partners to assemble and mail newsletters; and companies that we may in the future partner with in order to run major fundraiser campaigns.
Other Information About Your Visit to Our Site
Like most internet sites, our website reads some information from your computer that helps us analyze traffic patterns, perform routine maintenance, maintain site security, and to help you navigate through our site. Generally, the information we collect is temporary and when you leave the site this information is deleted from our system. The only information the Foundation automatically collects and maintains is the following:

- Date and time of access.
- The website you visited prior to coming to this website.
- Information about possible system security threats.
This privacy policy does not apply to websites operated by third parties that you may access through a link from this website.
